Before beginning the program we explain something very important.

Most smokers believe nicotine is the primary reason quitting feels so difficult.

However smoking addiction is influenced by multiple physical and subconscious signals that develop over years of smoking.

Understanding these patterns helps explain why many people struggle when trying to quit using willpower alone.

During this step we explain the hidden triggers and patterns that reinforce smoking behavior and why addressing both the body and the mind is important.

STEP 2 — LASER SUPPORT

One of the most challenging parts of quitting smoking is the physical craving response that occurs during the first few days.

At Body & Mind we use a cool light laser applied to specific acupuncture points on the ear and hand.

It is also a deeply conditioned habit stored in the subconscious mind.

How the Body & Mind System was Developed

The Body & Mind Quit Smoking Program began as a personal mission.
More than 30 years ago Rick Saruna’s wife tried everything to quit smoking.

Nothing worked.

She tried patches, medications, hypnosis sessions, doctors’ advice and quit smoking books.

Often she was smoking again the same day.

Rick knew something did not make sense.

His wife was not weak-willed.

She was managing businesses, raising children and running a household.

The problem clearly was not the smoker.

Refusing to Accept Failure as Normal

Years later Rick attended professional smoking cessation training used to train therapists working in government-funded quit smoking clinics.

Rick himself was not government funded. By that time he had already developed his own system through clinical research and real-world results.

During the training he was stunned by what he heard. Hundreds of nurses and doctors were being taught that smokers might need up to 30 attempts before they finally succeed.

To Rick this made no sense.

If the right system was being used, people should not need 30 attempts to quit.

That moment confirmed something important. The problem was not the smoker. The problem was the systems being promoted.

Over the past three decades the Body & Mind system has helped thousands of smokers become happy, healthy non-smokers.
