How the Body & Mind System was Developed
More than 30 years ago Rick Saruna’s wife tried everything to quit smoking.
Nothing worked.
She tried patches, medications, hypnosis sessions, doctors’ advice and quit smoking books.
Often she was smoking again the same day.
Rick knew something did not make sense.
His wife was not weak-willed.
She was managing businesses, raising children and running a household.
The problem clearly was not the smoker.
Refusing to Accept Failure as Normal
Rick himself was not government funded. By that time he had already developed his own system through clinical research and real-world results.
During the training he was stunned by what he heard. Hundreds of nurses and doctors were being taught that smokers might need up to 30 attempts before they finally succeed.
To Rick this made no sense.
If the right system was being used, people should not need 30 attempts to quit.
That moment confirmed something important. The problem was not the smoker. The problem was the systems being promoted.
